Further to earlier email please find a list of outstanding actions and notes:

Looking at the requirements for the next Work day (19th May) we will need the following:

Road-Side Pen – All works at this pen will be completed by Ray, Neil Mcd and Stevie.

  • 4x large posts (8ft at least)                                         
  • Panels or fencing for the extension of the penPanels in place
  • Shelter – corrugated Ironsheets for shelter at pen
  • Brashing of internal and surrounding trees.Tree cutting to be done before installing panels
  • Gate fixedGate will be tied in after poults released
  • Current fence tightened. Water will be connected and drip drinkers installed.

Birch Pen

  • Wire, posts, panels and extension material.
  • Tighten all wire, may require steeples.
  • Neil Mcd to repair burst water pipe to pen
  • More shelter materials to be sourced/ brought to Tulchan (posts, Corrugated Iron, Stakes/ Stumps
  • Pop holes with fox grids could be installed. Grids supplied by Brian. Mesh required for Pop holes and plastic ties.
  • shelter material (TIN SHEETS) taken to area
  • General repairs.

ROUNDAL PEN                                                                                          

  • General Tidy up
  • Maybe repair gates into plantation - Sandy

SANDYS PEN - NEIL McD RAY AND Stevie WILL BUILD THIS PEN.

TOP OF ARM PEN

  • CHECK FENCES AND GATES
  • BRASH A CLEARING TO GET IN WITH CRATES AT TOPGATE

BEACHES WOOD

  • Requires a good clear up of old branches. Potential to burn – Lighters and matches required.

WEEDYFIELD POND

  • Requires duck hides to be installed. Ducks due to arrive around the 4thof june.
  • Pallets required although some present at the Hut.

Partridge pen – This will be built by Ray Neil McD and Stevie (location yet UNKNOWN )we were thinking in the game 

                       

Feeders

  • All feeders and water cleaned (Blue and smaller)
  • Pen feeders stacked in pens ready to fill.
  • Blue cleaned and positioned for season.

Plantation Gates- Sandy completing

Artichokes and Game Crops

  • New fencing for game crops due to go in – Sandy
  • Ground preparation for Artichokes- Syndicate
  • Ground prep for game crop – Frank
  • Soil samples – This week by Steevie, me or Ray.
  • Game Crop – Stevie this week.

So this is the full list of tasks to be completed.

on the 19th we will focus on that highlighted red. Depending on numbers I suspect that this is the following groups:

  • Birch Wood pen acticities
  • Clean up and Feeder placement
  • Feeder Cleaning

I will update with numbers nearer the time. Please think about the following activities and what resources/ tools you can bring. Thanks to those that have replied already.
