Just to update you on progress.

Ken Allan (retired), Steve, Gordon, Fergus, and myself attended with Derek. Dave brought his Yamaha quad bike while Steve had his 4×4 with trailer. Derek is enjoying the suzuki.

Feeders were taken out to all pens and surrounding areas. Coated inside with aniseed and filled with the grain and pheasant puller. Having 6 of us helped to get everything done by midday (3 hours). Then relaxed lunch in the sun outside the glamping emporium.

The young pheasants are looking strong and good, and are already flying about, but were not too perturbed by us visiting the pens. There were loads of them in the felled area- presumably there to get drinking water? Feeders are placed by the bridges hopefully keeping the birds in the middle of the property.

I gather Neil got a fox last night as well, which had been taking adult pheasants.

Have to say that Steve has done wonders/miracles putting in paths in the felled area between the arm and the weedy field. What a difference that is going to make.

Derek is going to put the rest of the feeders out over the next week or two, but will need to call for help to get them all filled- in a similar operation as today.

Hope every one else is/are enjoying their holidays. Hopefully they will be suitably refreshed to help in a few weeks time with the second tranche of feeder filling.
