Start of the New Season – Some Reminders

In advance of the 1st Duck night (Thursday Syndicate – 5th September) and the first Pheasant day (Saturday Syndicate – 12th Oct) I thought it would be worthwhile to highlight a few rules of the syndicate to refresh the minds of the older members and inform the new.

Timings

For ducks we will meet @ 6.30pm on the 5th. Sunset is at 6.30pm so this will give time to push the ducks off and get into the hides.

Cartridges

When shooting the ducks you are shooting over water and wetlands. This requires that non-lead or non-toxic cartridge options should be used.

Fibre wads only should be used. I was constantly picking up plastic wads throughout last season, but mainly around the ponds so please check your cartridges comply.

Tips and Beaters fees

As per the decision at the AGM we will be paying beaters and tips on the night. For the ducks this is £15 per gun and for pheasants £25
